AUDIENCE ANALYSISThe audience for this speech will be a group of mostly young adults age 18-20. It has been determined that these young adults are at a peak time in their lives to be into music; but just young enough to not have the courage or knowledge to use that music to break into dance. GOALThe purpose of this speech is to encourage and prepare fellow young adults to dance and feel fancy doing so. I plan to bring about this response by showing them what they may not have known before, and make them think about it; and resulting from the knowledge I present they will feel more comfortable and at ease to dance. ATTENTION GETTER“Can you feel the love tonight? …. No? I couldn’t either, until I learned to dance alone.” KEY POINTS- Preparing for the moves - Choosing the tunes - Making the moves SPECIFIC SUPPORTING DETAILSPreparing for the moves- rest well - eat well - stretch well Choosing the tunes- something fast - something variant - dancing is not without mind Making the moves- don’t copy - don’t stand in one spot - just feel the beat RECAP INFORMATIONIf you get yourself ready, find some super sounds, and make your own moves you will feel more confident and comfortable to dance the night away, whether it be all alone at home, or all alone on the dance floor. CONCLUDING EMPHASISSo if there’s no love to be found tonight, you can still have some grand fun times! |
